Whether your a female or male, you are never exempt from having daddy issues.

World sucks. You have a problem with trusting too easily. Having a long list of breakups and makeups and allowing mediocre companionships, ring a bell?

I have a playlist for you.

Daddy Issues by The Neighbourhood

I am honestly in love with this group. Their voices give me somewhat of a “ If the Weeknd was in a band” vibe, which would be pretty crazy. The chorus a long just cries out to that “childhood trauma” part of you.

Go ahead and cry, little girl / Nobody does it like you do /I know how much it matters to you / I know that you got daddy issues /And if you were my little girl /I’d do whatever I could do /I’d run away and hide with you /I love that you got daddy issues /And I do too

The guy with the neck tattoo is the definition of daddy material, Zaddy material I mean.

So this next song is very much for the 90’s Disney channel fans, remember Lindsay Lohan “Parent Trap” and “Freaky Friday”

In the early 2000s, 2005 to be specific, she came out with a jewel.

Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father)

I catch myself crying to this song a lot. It’s just one of those songs that hit heavy without really needing to try. There’s a specific verse that I play over and over whenever I’m thinking back at my past.

Daughter to father, daughter to father /Tell me the truth, did you ever love me’ /Cause these are, these are /The confessions of a broken heart, of a broken heart /I love you /I love you /I love you /I, I love you

You can probably remember the second to last, heart-wrenching “I love you”.

Wow, I should have ended with that one. Tough song to follow. Well when all else fails, bring in The Weeknd without the -e. I remember reading an article explaining The Weeknd perfectly.

Call out my name by the Weeknd

This song can be taken in so many different contexts. Most would think this song is just about .. well you know.. but I don’t see it like that. The Weeknd poured his heart into this song.

I put you on top, I put you on top
I claimed you so proud and openly
And when times were rough, when times were rough
I made sure I held you close to me

Words like these just speak to your abandonment issues, huh?
